Michigan Horse Assoication

The Buckskin Horse Association of Michigan is a relatively small, family oriented association. “B.H.A.M.”, as it is affectionately known, sponsors six show weekends each summer offering four complete shows each weekend with a full slate of both ABRA and Open classes to serve all types of horse enthusiasts. Every show weekend we have hi-point awards and on Saturday night we have a potluck dinner 1 hour after the show. Bring a dish to pass and your own service and drink. All are invited.

We offer year-end awards for all classes except Sweepstakes classes. We also offer the chance to win a saddle in one of two categories: either ABRA or Open. The 2003 saddles were beautiful Billy Cook saddles provided by Tom’s Western Store. We hold a Banquet in February of each year where we get together and celebrate the previous year’s accomplishments.

Membership is not required to come and show with us, however it is required to participate in the year-end awards program, the year-end saddle program and to receive The Buckskin Bullet. The Buckskin Bullet is the official newsletter for the Buckskin Horse Association of Michigan. It is published 9 times per year and designed to provide our members with up-to-date regional and National news as well as informative or fun articles and classified opportunities.
